Have you ever looked at your tile roof and wondered how it changed color from a terra cotta to almost black?
Well, as you know, there is a lot of stuff in the air, here in Delray Beach (and all the areas in Florida, really) that gets onto your roof. Some of it is mold (ugh) and some of it is lichen or moss and more (a little less ugh... but still.)
With the humidity as high as it is, the spores, seeds and other germinations take hold of every surface and then don't let go easily. Some you need to kill with chemicals (straight vinegar is excellent, though it takes a day or so) or with brute force.
Since the tiles on a roof can usually handle it, brute force is the preferred method on those.
As always, we examine every inch of a customer's roof before we begin to make sure that we know what we need to target and clean, and to inspect against major imperfections, like broken tiles, etc. so the customer doesn't get a nasty leaking roof surprise.
This roof turned out great! When will you call us to clean up yours?
